My 1st Day Baking

Hi everyone!

My body is still sore from the whole day baking activity I had yesterday (Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011).  It was a 6-hour no-sitting & non-stop baking.  But the all-day work did pay off when my baked goods turned out tasty and merited the approval of our chef, my parents and everyone at home.

I know my parents are hard to please when it comes to food.  Thus, I was relieved and a bit proud that my baked doughnuts turned out to be at par to those found at premium coffeeshops in the metropolis.  {wink, wink}  I just hope that I could duplicate what I've learned at home. hahaha {crossing my fingers}

I was too tired to take great food shots of my doughnuts yesterday.  In fact, I almost forgot to take a photo of finished goods to keep as remembrance as they were fast being consumed at home. lol  Below are the photos of the various doughnuts we were able to make last Saturday:

Choco glazed doughnuts in various shapes

Honey glazed choco doughnuts & Jelly doughnuts

Choco walnut doughnuts, Choco glazed regular doughnuts & Honey glazed regular doughnuts

Stay tune for future postings of my baked goods for the next 4 weeks.  I never thought I'll enjoy baking again after 20+ years of shying away from it. {sigh}  I just hope I can handle the next 4 weeks of baking.  As they say no pain, no gain.

"Plain Yogart Day" LO for Sketches4All

It's my 3rd monthly challenge at Sketches4All.  And I would like to break the good news that my term with the said site has been renewed.  YAY!!  More opportunity for me to get myself occupied and have an escape from worrying too much about a number of things.  Of course,  I need things to be done at home with family but this will afford me a "ME" time, I hope, with the coming Christmas Season.

Anyway, back to my hosted challenge at Sketches4All: November 2011 Dessert, Coffee or Tea Inspired By Challenge --

Use the photo below as your inspiration.  Create any project you wish using the photo provided.  May you be inspired by the colors, the kind of dessert the photo is showing or any you might think of.

2.      Challenge started last Nov. 1, 2011 at Sketches4All and will end Nov. 30, 2011 (at Manila, Philippines timezone).  To view Manila time: http://localtimes.info/Asia/Philippines/Manila/

Welcome to "Creo by Lady Katutz"

Hi, everyone!  Welcome!

If you came from my old scrapbooking blog: "Let's Get Scrappy!", you found me.  Actually, I'm still putting together the finishing touches and have been planning on having this blog live probably start of 2012.  But I've sent out introductions to most of my scrappy friends in the blogosphere.  And I can't hazard another google mishap on my old blog, "Let's Get Scrappy!".  Thus, I'm going live now this November 11, 2011 (11/11/11).  What a coincidence, isn't it?  It would make a memorable start for "Creo by Lady Katutz"

I'll still be using my old blog until end of December 2011 and will be really be live on 2012.  For the meantime, feel free to leave a comment on the total look and feel of my new blog and enjoy the new challenges & upcoming events all throughout this 4th quarter of 2011.  I'll be probably synchronizing blogposts here with posts on my old blog.  Please bear with me.

Again, thanks for dropping by and welcome to all my crafting & baking friends. =)
