I have previously created an undecorated toilet paper roll album previously  . . . about a year ago as part of a Make n Take project at a Crop with a site I was with.  Having not much time and finding the result not as pretty as I have imagined, I have shelved this unfinished toilet paper album.  I remembered this past project and thought of finishing it for this challenge at Kaboodle Doodles.

Now, how did I overcome my previous perception that it wasn't as pretty as initially negotiated upon.  Well, I thought along the lines of making it a vintage project due to the dark but rich colors of pattern papers I used on this album.  As I went along, I found the project worth going on and finished it to my satisfaction.  It's now a pretty with a touch of vintage feel on the finish.  I just hope you'd agree with me! LOL

So, with 3 images from Stamping Boutique used on this toilet paper roll album and scraps of ribbon and left-over supplies from my stash, I now present my completed project.  A Never-to-be-Neglected album, I should say . . . :

"Spanish Cuisine" LO for Let's Get Sketchy Challenge #10

It's another sketch challenge with Challenge #10 at Let's Get Sketchy for the 1st week of May 2012.  We have Brenshevia's sketch to work with this week . . . :

And here's my sample LO using Scenic Route & Victoria Gardens by Echo Park:

I made use of a mixture of artist's medium making it a mixed media layout, 2 pieces of doilies with 1 tea-stained & the other coffee-stained, a piece of canvas and a variety of flowers.

"Illustrado" LO refurbished for My Sketch World

Hi everyone!

Have you ever thought of re-doing one of your previously crafted LOs?  Ever find one of your 1st LOs not as gorgeous or pretty as the time you created it years ago?

Well, this challenge is for you ladies who would like to have their past LOs re-done, touched up (in photo editing lingo) or (in furniture lingo) . . . refurbished!  LOL

Here's my refurbished LO:

I added some stitching, 

popped up embossed & inked butterflies,

homemade fan accent, bling,

pleated canvas & pearls

Viola!

And here is how my LO looked prior to the above:

See the difference or the improvement?  LOL

So what are you waiting for . . . ?

Get those old forgotten LOs freshened up and undergo a major make-over just like what I did!
