"No. 1 Dad" - Father's Day Card for Let's Make Greeting Cards

I usually have difficulty creating or getting any gift for my dad.  I guess it was easier to give gifts for my mom, girls or ladies.  The same goes for me in creating LOs.

Anyway for our next theme assignment at Let's Make Greeting Cards, I made use of the materials provided by the said site courtesy of Rochelle.  Thanks so much, Rochelle!

Without further ado, here's my handmade Father's Day Card:

"Queen for A Day" Birthday Card for Let's Make Greeting Cards

Hi everyone!

It's our 1st reveal as design team with Let's Make Greeting Cards.  And (1) of my 1st task was to create a birthday card.  I fancied making use of the materials I got from Rochelle of LMGC, a digital kit I have previously purchased & toyed with the idea or of how nice it would be to feel special on your birthday.  In short or to the extreme, to be "Queen for A Day"! LOL

Anyway, here's my rendition of 

my above concept and

Hi, everyone!

I've been working in advance for Kaboodle Doodles that I've even jumped to our June DT requirements as early as March. LOL   . . . know why?  I just got everything together unplanned & created my 1st digital scrapbook layout. YAY!!  Everything just fell into place.  Can you believe that?

Again, it's an honor for me for KD to have my own created sketch for their 2nd sketch challenge for the year 2012.  I hope this gets about everyone inspired to create with us!!  As, this same sketch has inspired me to create this 1st ever digital LO of mine.  This sketch was created inspired by the most hyped about paper weaving technique in our world of papercrafting.  Without further ado, here's the Card or LO sketch:

My digital LO:

I made use of Echo Park's Times & Season digital kit which I got on sale.  The digital papers & elements were by Jessica Spraque.  I just made a bit of texturizing and other recently discvoered techniques & the LO above came out naturally.  Not bad for a 1st timer, huh?

I don't pay much attention on digital kits until I stumbled upon EP's digital kits on sale offerings.  I guess I'll be stalking EP for more of their digital products, wouldn't you?
