"Celebrate" LO for Sketches4All

It's time for our September contest at Sketches4All.  

This time we have a fall themed sketch challenge and 

an awesome prize of Echo Park's Christmas collection kit.

SUPPLIES:  Cardstock: Filstar Distributor Corp.; Pattern Paper: Filstar Distributor Corp.’ Hooray 6x6 Collection; Journaling Pen: Parker; Others: String, Flowers (from Karen Filipino), Buttons (from Joan Borgelt at a button swap).

The photo is of me taken while preparing to celebrate my mom's birthday at an out-of-town resort or get-away.  Though I realized that having a photo of my mom instead would have been more appropriate since it's her birthday but I didn't have a readily printed photo of her on the said occasion with the exact size as mine as shown on the LO.

Anyway, we had a great time celebrating with the quiet and serene atmosphere at the said resort.  And mom was glad to have time away from home.

"Hi" Card - a Re-touched Card for Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #136: Flowers

Kaboodle Doodles' Challenge #136 is "Flowers". You could submit any project as long as it fits the challenge theme. Winner to be drawn randomly with sponsor prize of 4 images from Meljen's Designs Tues, September 18, 2012 at US timezone. Participants have until Sun., September 16, 2012 to link their entries at the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog.

I have an uncompleted card created and this challenge helped me finish and add the needed character to my handmade card.  I love the pretty flower centerpiece so much that I had been dilly dallying waiting for the right moment to complete the whole card project.  It just needed a sentiment and a little bit of this and that.  Without further ado, here's my finally completed handmade flower greeting card:
