My Craft Room - 1st Quarter of 2013

I would like to share with you how my craft room looked
now at the start of 2013 -
more than 2 years after I discovered scrapbooking . . .

The start of 2013, saw me with lots of
shelved projects.  I just keep changing my mind!
I guess this literally had my mind all a-mess
as can be evidenced by the mess left in my craft room . . .

My Craft Table:

(this month of February 2013)

(last month of January 2013)

My scrapbook trolley of supplies
(trolley gotten from my dad's old or former office)

The other fourth corner of my craft room
with littered bundles of bought supplies from last year
with no more storage bins for me to keep them.
I realized my craft room isn't big to accommodate everything. . .

Hope I can show you a tidy craft room again soon . . .

"18th Birthday Card & My Dec 8th page of my 2012 December Daily" for Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #160 - Blings

Kaboodle Doodles' Challenge #160 is "Use any bling". You could submit any project as long as it fits the challenge theme. Winner to be drawn randomly with sponsor prize of $10 GC from Floppy Latte, March 5, 2013 at US timezone. Participants have until Sun., March 3, 2013 to link their entries at the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog.

I've been saving up my blings, specially those that I've won from last year's challenges.  But I couldn't resist utilizing a piece for this challenge - the project of which I prepared as early as last year, being my Dec. 8th page of my December Daily.  And am I so glad on how it turned out.  The bling was really the added touch to make my said page look so alive and elegant.  Here, I am sharing the said mini page album with you:

SUPPLIES: Pattern Paper: Echo Park’s Season’s Greetings Collection Kit, My Mind’s Eye’s Holly Jolly Collection Kit; Digital Date Banner: Echo Park; Flowers: Prima, Filstar Distributors Corp.; Crystals: Prima; Other: Purple Rhinestones.

I've created another project this time an "18th Birthday Card" utilizing Floppy Latte's "Always a Bridesmaid" digital image.  I was so drawn to the image the minute I saw it on Floppy Latte's catalogue that I just have to get it for my DT project.  I don't want to be unlucky in love, that's why I had an 18th birthday card created.  The digital image very much suits what I have imagined my card creation will be and I wasn't a bit disappointed with my card output after I had it done.

SUPPLIES: Cardstock: Star Paper Corp.; Pattern Paper: Daisy D’s; Digital Image: Floppy Latte’s Always a Bridesmaid; Flowers: Prima, Number Chipboard: Imaginarium; Pearls: Queen & Company; Distress Ink: Ranger; Other: ribbons; TOOLS: Paper Shapers: Provo Craft.

"Stained Glass Angel" Framed Cross-stitch Piece for Sunny Side Up Creations Challenge #22

It's still February and it's now my turn
to post a project on the Sunny Side Up Creations Blog
and here in my own blog.

It's SSUC Challenge #22 with a color palette challenge:

Here's my Sample Project for the color palette:
a cross-stitch piece framed for home decor . . .
Project Title: "Stained Glass Angel" Framed Cross-stitch Piece

I embraced and went back to needlecraft - cross-stitching to be specific, when I stopped working and stayed home.  This was one of the cross-stitch projects I undertook from year 2005 until I discovered papercrafting in 2010.  It is a "Stained Glass Angel" Cross-stitch pattern throwpillow project which I preferred to be made into a framed wall cross-stitch decor, as shown in the photo above.  I would sometimes look at the piece and call it as "A Christmas Angel" project instead of the pattern's name of "Stained Glass Angel".

Embroidery floss are all from DMC.

"2013 Altered Planner" n "Valentine's Card" for Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #159

Kaboodle Doodles' Challenge #159 is "Anything but a Square". You could submit any project as long as it fits the challenge theme. Winner to be drawn randomly with sponsor prize of 5 digis from QKR Stampede, February 26, 2013 at US timezone. Participants have until Sun., February 24, 2013 to link their entries at the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog.

I ended up with both rectangular projects for this challenge - an altered 2013 planner and a regular Valentine's Card with our sponsor's digital image from QKR Stampede.  I decided to have some mixed media in both my projects - though little or a lot on one and the other.  And I enjoyed though a bit hesitant at first to color my digital image with my Faber Castell pens. . . but it all turned out well, I believe.  So, here they are:
