OTP FINALISTS for the Creo by Lady Katutz Milestone Contest

Hi!

I'm back to show the next CBLK 2014 Milestone Contest category's finalists.  This is the 2nd installment with the 1st one being the ATC Category.

I would like to jump to the OTP Category.  This time I was no longer able to contain my list of finalists to only 3 as there was really an influx of entries.  I have (5) OTP or TAG FINALISTS out of a total of (45) OTP CONTEST PARTICIPANTS.

Again I would like to thank the Philippine Crafters Association and the Filipino Scrapbookers Club participants to the "Let's Celebrate Family" atc and tag swap, as they sent in a token set of atcs and tags.

It was so heartfelt that I decided to include their works as entries in both atc and OTP category.

Now, I would like to proceed and share the photos of my (5) OTP finalists:

{clockwise from top left}

Aileen Joy Fernandez
(from Cotabato City, Mindanao Region, Philippines)
a simple wedding chic handmade tag with a play on trims or lace in white with a touch of pink.  Tag accentuated with 2 wedding rings.  Pearl adornment with a die-cut quote with mica flakes makes the project chic albeit a bit more elegant to be great for a wedding handmade tag.

The quote reads:
"The Wedding Ring goes on the Left Ring Finger because it is the only finger with a vein that connects to the Heart."

Vicenta Duero  Su-ay
(from Iloilo City, Visayas Region, Philippines)
A Masculine "Thank You, DAD!" handmade tag with a play with lots of die cuts of gears and other more.  Dry embossing and inking done in masculine and vintage colors.  The DAD digital image was decored and colored in retro-80's style of paper piecing and outlined with a white pen.  It's a Handmade tag for Father's Day in tune and in line with the joint FSC and PCA Celebrating Family tag swap.

Cattleya Bautista
(from Los BaƱos, Laguna, NCR, Philippines)
a Handcut and lovely jar-shaped handmade tag with no need to add a ribbon on a punched top.  Done and printed pre-designed print in wonderful pink-rose colored patterned paper or simply a cut-out from a patterned paper design with floral embellishments adorned on certain designs in the body of the jar.

It would make a wonderful handmade greeting card / folded greeting card!

Joy Frances Valerie
(from South Korea)
an upcycling project with the use of lots of corrugated box materials.  Fantastic way and marvelous way of passing the corrugate box packaging material thru a die-cutting machine to make a camera-shaped huge handmade tag to show off a recycling or upcycling project for environmental concerns.  Wonderful choice of brown color with a play of mixed media for both base and the camera-shaped corrugated handmade die-cut with a few more embellishments and die cuts adorning the project.

A quote on the project says:  You make me laugh

Gale G. Solon
(from Metro Manila, NCR, Philippines)
a traditional handmade "Thinking of You" tag project done in minimalist tone or denoting simplicity or in a 'less is more' style.  Perfection in the handmade tag shape and in her die-cutting works, all with precision, and with punch tool works to complete a perfect traditional handmade tag project.  Done with inking and dry embossing banner strip too and wonderfully stamped: 'Thinking of You'.

THE EMERGING TAG (OTP) WINNER:

FOR CANVAS ART, ALTERED ART AND OTP CATEGORY
will receive prize of
(with submission of best altered art or recycled art or any out-of-the page project)
1 EnoGreetings paper kit (photo shown below) with
an assortment of a couple of blank sheets of the following:
  1. Sheets from a Berkeley Watercolor Pad
  2. Sheets from an Oil Painting (Professional Series) Pad
  3. Sheets from a Canson Sketch Pad (ideal for pencil, charcoal and pastel)

Good Luck!!

"Aged Classic" LO for Scrappy Bee

Hi, everyone!

Today's the release of

Scrappy Bee's

 PBDesigns (PBD)'s

"Vintage Chic" digital kit:

I had so much fun creating with the digital kit and
here I am now sharing my prepared project with Scrappy Bee's PBDesigns . . .
Here is my CT Project for Scrappy Bee's PBDesigns kit release:

Such wonderful digital kit to work with.  I have long wanted to created a vintage digital LO just like when I was in papercrafts.  Vintage-styled traditional paper LO was the last in my bucket list to create.  And, now I'm glad to have reached creating vintage digital LO designs.

Thank you, PBDesigns!!

The LO shows how I regard aging for women like me.  How I used to be fond of beautiful bright LO to shabby chic and now vintage in design.  Just like how a young girl finds herself growing up from pre-teens to teen-age years; from young adult to adulthood and I guess the magic word is "Growing Gracefully".  I don't want yet to mention the 3 letter word. =)

{ . . . growing old gracefully . . . .}

ATC FINALISTS for Creo by Lady Katutz Milestone Contest

Hi!

It's been a week since the Creo by Lady Katutz Milestone Contest has ended.  And I'm now in the judging process and prelimaries since December 2014.  As I did prepare to narrow down my winner's choice down to a few.  All of the entries are beautiful.

Creo by Lady Katutz has a total of (6) contest participants under the ATC Category.

I'd like to thank the atcsforall.com Members {those I was able to converse and communicate with while I was going on daily trading and swap activities to hosting 2nd Generations and Digital ATC swap}.

I would also like to thank the Philippine Crafters Association and the Filipino Scrapbookers Club, specially the participants of the "Celebrate Family" ATC swap hosted by Ces de Guzman, as they sent in a token and thank you set of artist trading cards as I was their former atc swap activity hostess.

I can't resist not to include all your artist trading cards, both those who sent me artist trading cards as thanks and in friendship, to my CBLK 2014 Milestone Contest under the ATC Category.

For today, I would like to share the works of the 3 Finalists under the Artist Trading Card Category.  They are as follows:

{clockwise from top left}

an uknown sender:
(from the Philippines)
I no longer found out who created the artist trading card for me.  The lot of 4 atcs are done in sweet shade of pink and decorated with quotes and digital images of being a mom and of being a wife and of family.  Thank you so much!!

Gilberto and Rosalinda Reyes:
(from Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines)
such lovely monogram atcs with a word for me to remember everything and both of you: mother and son -  Enjoy; Dream and Family.  It is what my own dad would remind me when I was young.  A mantra that I had lived by in my growing up years to see life as an opportunity to enjoy, to dream lots of things that I could be and would want to be and would aspire to be.  And never ever forget to include family as part and parcel in my journey to my Dreams.
Done in traditional papercraft with coloring and paint splatters for the rose atc.

Ces de Guzman de la Cruz:
(from Batangas City, Philippines)
the set of 4 atcs were done in native Filipino fare:  upcycling of handmade materials and recycling with a key to use natural resources.  Advance techniques were utilized with the base and finishing of 2 atcs.  Handmade paper with bits of flora were also made into a simple atc.  And a close-to-burlap make atc with a plant or grass were also captivating to me.

Truly exotically created and naturally handmade!

THE EMERGING ARTIST TRADING CARD WINNER
will receive prize of
5 Ultra Pro (Platinum Series) sheets or pages of 9-atc pocket sleeve page
Ultra Pro (Platinum Series) sheets or pages of 4-atc pocket sleeve page
2 different note cards from Peter Pauper Press, Inc. as follows:
(1 pc Butterflies & 1 pcs Birdcage note cards with envelope)

Good Luck!!

"My Artist's Life" Digital LO for Scrappy Bee's Honey Bee: PBDesigns

Hi, everyone!

Today I worked with

Scrappy Bee's

PBDesigns (PBD)'s

"In Memory of You" digital kit:

I had so much fun creating with the digital kit and
here I am now sharing my prepared project with PBDesigns . . .
Here is my CT Project for Scrappy Bee's Honey Bee PBDesigns' kit:

I thought that I never had an LO with my profile photos as Creo by Lady Katutz.  I once did create a traditional paper LO with my profile photos but it was the time when I was only starting as Let's Get Scrappy.

Let's Get Scrappy was my very 1st hobby and scrappin' blog.  This was followed by Creo by Lady Katutz hobby blog.  My paper traditional LO at that time was entitled:  "My Scrappy Life"  and was published with one of the US digital online magazines.  It was Joya-inspired working with white space.  I really love that LO of mine.

I hope I won't regret not being able to think of a unique name for my digital LO above, except for CBLK Profile Photos.  It could as well go for my Artist's Life, to take after my other LO - My Scrappy Life.

I guess that settles it:  My Artist's Life Digital LO, up above!

Papal Stamps 2015

Hi!

I was able to procure from the post office
Pope Francis' stamps for his Papal Visit.

I'm glad to have obtained 3 stamp sheets of the above.  And I'm actively trying to look for any Papal Visit postcard of Pope Francis for either Maxicard purposes or to send with matching Papal stamps.

Also waiting for the release of Papal Visit Souvenir Sheets.  Hoping for FDCs too. {sigh}
