Card Swap at Let's Make Greeting Cards

I guess it's been a year since the card swap and
it's only now that I've decided to post this.

I guess it's the heartbreak of knowing that
(2) of my swap partners's card didn't reach me and
the realization that it's the end of that and
nothing more . . .

I will no longer share with you the photos of
(3) batches of cards by 2's I've sent
to my swap partners.
I guess I no longer received confirmation of receipt
of my cards as well.
Might be lost just the same fate as
the cards I must have received.

Anyway, I would like to share with you
the "Thank You" Cards that I received from this activity.
These are the only handmade cards that made thru:
from Lisa Allen

"It's More Fun in the Philippines" ATC Swap at Pinoyscrapbookers

Hi, everyone!

This is really a late post with the ATC Swap
held a few years ago.

I just wanted to share how I started with ATC swaps.
And it's thru Pinoyscrapbookers that I got into
my 1st ATC swap.

They had a theme of:
"It's more fun in the Philippines"

I'm a bit shy sharing the ATC I made for this swap
and wanted to share instead the ATCs I've received
from my swap groupmates:

 Alby's ATC                                 Cathy's ATC

 Cabbie's ATC

Cecilia's ATC

 Ime's ATC

 Karen's ATC

Lovez' ATC                                  Virginia's ATC

Aren't their ATCs lovely!

Unfortunately, there's (1) ATC that didn't reach me -
the ATC of Bessie.  So sad about it. :(

"Lighthouse" LO for Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #177 - Pastel Colors

we go with: Pastel Colors.

Randomly drawn winner receives
$10 voucher from Just Some Lines.

I wanted so much to create an LO for this Pastel Colors Challenge.
Gladly I found a Webster Pages pattern paper in my stash,
a few Prima flowers in pastel hues, the heart doily my KD partner admin
gave me, some laces here and there, washi (just love playing with washi tapes now), &
a wooden crown stamp I just picked up from a store nearby.

Love how it turned out with all the pastel colors from plain white to pink and to blues
all coming together in my layout. . . . especially the cute Just Some Lines digi image
which I made the center of my flower matted in a huge heart-shaped doily.

Without further adieu, here my "Lighthouse" LO:

"Mark n Tin Wedding Scrapbook Album" for Sunny Side Up Creations Challenge #31

I'm sharing with you . . . a customized gift for my
mom's friend who wed a few years ago.

It's a scrapbook album wherein I had my cross-stitch piece
placed or inserted on the cover instead of the couples photo.
I further decorated the 1st few pages of the album with them,
scrapping their wedding invite.

The bride sent us a thank you note and was touched with the gift.
I'm glad they loved the scrapbook album I put together for them,
for them to continue to fill up with fond memories of their wedding.

Here's the album's cover with my needlecraft project:

The cross-stitch pattern was bought in Luang Prabang, Laos.

Here's the color palette we worked and matched our project with:

"CropStop Mini Album Cover" for the Color Room

I've been planning on creating Mini Album Projects
documenting the past Design Teams I've been with.

And one of the 1st Teams I've been with was CropStop.
When I saw the Color Room Palette,
I just couldn't resist thinking of how my album cover would look like.
I already have the raw chipboard album and just needed the right
inspiration to get my CropStop Mini Album Project going.

I have the cover of my Mini Album completed.
Here it is:

Initially, I was planning to go with a shabby chic appeal but
my foam die cuts beckoned me and I decided to go for a
kiddie or child-like look for my mini album.

Varying shades of pink from laces to trims;
blues and yellows from my foam die cuts.
All in all following the Color Room color palette #152 & the sketch below.

Sweetly,

"Good Times" LO for Scrap Around the World & Life Paper Scrapbook June Challenges

It's my first challenge to join in at

I had seen their previous challenge last month and
had not the time to join though I really wanted to take part
in their challenges as early as last month.

I created a single page LO of
the family's recent summer trip to Singapore.

It has been quite a while since I created a family LO.
I veered to another subject in my scrapbooking since last month.
And it is such a welcome treat for me
to be creating back again LOs with family photos.

It was my first visit to Universal Studios.
I had yet to step into a Disneyland Park.
But the Universal Studios Singapore proved to be
a fun and enjoyable birthday treat for me and my young sister.

"Good Times" LO of our visit to USS.

Scrap Around The World Mood Board & Sketch

My foal point coming from the Mood Board is the Camera.
I utilized mixed media for a more shabby chic however
how predominantly bright and cheerful the LO colors are in play.

I went along with the sketch with the banners
on top and bottom of the (2) photos;
flowers; washi and fabric tapes all about the LO too.

I enjoyed creating with this month's SATW challenge.
It did pave the way for me to start scrapping
my Singapore Birthday Vacation 2013 with the family.

I hope I'd be able to continue and keep up.
And finally completely scrap all the photos worth
documenting or capturing in an LO.

Thanks so much!!
