"Baptized" LO for Kaboodle Doodles Challenge 105: Hearts & Flowers Sketch Challenge

Kaboodle Doodles' Challenge #105 is a Sketch Challenge with Hearts & Flowers theme.  You could submit any project as long as it fits the challenge requirements.  Winner to be drawn randomly with sponsor prize of 5 images from The Stamping Boutique Tues, Feb. 14, 2012 at US timezone.  Participants have until Sun., Feb. 12, 2012 to link their entries at the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog.

This is the 1st sketch I've created for KD and I have to admit that I enjoyed conceptualizing the said sketch.  Thus, I wouldn't hesitate to come up with more sketches as long as the inspiration or mojo is there. =)  Without further ado, here's the inspiration sketch for the challenge. . .

I decided to make an LO out of the sketch with a vintage baby photo of mine taken when I was baptized.  I really wanted to have pretty pink LOs for my baby album but having vintage photos to work on takes longer to complete just (1) LO. {sigh}  How I wish I could work and conceptualize faster. {sigh}

"Banapple Pies & Cheesecakes" LO for Let's Get Sketchy DT Call

Hi everyone!

"Let's Get Sketchy", a brand new sketch site, is having it's 1st DT Call.  They're looking for members for their design team and sketch team.  DT term is for 6 months with DT samples needed on a bi-weekly basis.  Challenges are posted every 1st and 15th of the month.  Terms starts on March 1 and the DT Call ends on Feb. 13, 2011.  Newly accepted DTs are announced on Valentine's Day - Feb. 14.

My 1st Cake Decorating Adventure

Satisfied with my Cake Baking Adventure, I eagerly plunged into another baking adventure focusing on Cake Decorating.  This is with the hopes of having a Cake Baking Stint. ;-)  

It was really interesting - with us choosing our own character pans.  I immediately chose a Princess Carriage Pan to bake on.  It was an ardous but enjoyable task to work on.  But sadly,  I had to deal with aching hands in the evening and 2 or was it 3 days after.  Gee!!  I can barely write, type, grip nor clasp.  I'm still working on clasping at the moment I'm writing this.  This is one of my scheduled posts coz I'm so eager to share with you the results of my 2-day hardwork on this wonderful cake.  For me, it's a feast to one's eyes.  I had to stare at it at home and won't eat it until the following day when I had satisfied myself with taking photos of it for remembrance. =)

My young sis scrapping for the 1st time

I'm proud to share with you a photo of my young sis creating her 1st scrapbook album for a friend for Valentine's Day.  I guess my passion for scrapbooking had finally rubbed off or caught up with her.  I hope it's not a 1st and last indulgence in scrapbooking for her. =)

My sample LO is a baby LO using Valentine motif.  Sorry I've scrapped all my valentine family photos and I have to turn to my own baby photos to scrap.

I would like to credit Riti Poddar for the assorted satin flowers and the heart and wooden embellishments I used on my corners.  They're all sought after scrapbooking items in India.  Thanks, Riti!  I told you I'd make use of them on my self baby pages. =)
