Hi!
I'm back to show the next CBLK 2014 Milestone Contest category's finalists. This is the 2nd installment with the 1st one being the ATC Category.
I would like to jump to the OTP Category. This time I was no longer able to contain my list of finalists to only 3 as there was really an influx of entries. I have (5) OTP or TAG FINALISTS out of a total of (45) OTP CONTEST PARTICIPANTS.
Again I would like to thank the Philippine Crafters Association and the Filipino Scrapbookers Club participants to the "Let's Celebrate Family" atc and tag swap, as they sent in a token set of atcs and tags.
It was so heartfelt that I decided to include their works as entries in both atc and OTP category.
Now, I would like to proceed and share the photos of my (5) OTP finalists:
{clockwise from top left}
Aileen Joy Fernandez
(from Cotabato City, Mindanao Region, Philippines)
a simple wedding chic handmade tag with a play on trims or lace in white with a touch of pink. Tag accentuated with 2 wedding rings. Pearl adornment with a die-cut quote with mica flakes makes the project chic albeit a bit more elegant to be great for a wedding handmade tag.
The quote reads:
"The Wedding Ring goes on the Left Ring Finger because it is the only finger with a vein that connects to the Heart."
Vicenta Duero Su-ay
(from Iloilo City, Visayas Region, Philippines)
A Masculine "Thank You, DAD!" handmade tag with a play with lots of die cuts of gears and other more. Dry embossing and inking done in masculine and vintage colors. The DAD digital image was decored and colored in retro-80's style of paper piecing and outlined with a white pen. It's a Handmade tag for Father's Day in tune and in line with the joint FSC and PCA Celebrating Family tag swap.
Cattleya Bautista
(from Los BaƱos, Laguna, NCR, Philippines)
a Handcut and lovely jar-shaped handmade tag with no need to add a ribbon on a punched top. Done and printed pre-designed print in wonderful pink-rose colored patterned paper or simply a cut-out from a patterned paper design with floral embellishments adorned on certain designs in the body of the jar.
It would make a wonderful handmade greeting card / folded greeting card!
Joy Frances Valerie
(from South Korea)
an upcycling project with the use of lots of corrugated box materials. Fantastic way and marvelous way of passing the corrugate box packaging material thru a die-cutting machine to make a camera-shaped huge handmade tag to show off a recycling or upcycling project for environmental concerns. Wonderful choice of brown color with a play of mixed media for both base and the camera-shaped corrugated handmade die-cut with a few more embellishments and die cuts adorning the project.
A quote on the project says: You make me laugh
Gale G. Solon
(from Metro Manila, NCR, Philippines)
a traditional handmade "Thinking of You" tag project done in minimalist tone or denoting simplicity or in a 'less is more' style. Perfection in the handmade tag shape and in her die-cutting works, all with precision, and with punch tool works to complete a perfect traditional handmade tag project. Done with inking and dry embossing banner strip too and wonderfully stamped: 'Thinking of You'.
