"Thinking of You" Card for Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #138: Stitching

Kaboodle Doodles' Challenge #138 is "Stitching". You could submit any project as long as it fits the challenge theme. Winner to be drawn randomly with sponsor prize of 4 images from Robyn's Fetish Tues, October 3, 2012 at US timezone. Participants have until Sun., October 1, 2012 to link their entries at the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog.

I have been utilizing stitching on most of my cards especially for my designer cards for submission except when I decided to create are digital cards.  This challenge has always been dear to me eversince I started in this hobby.  For this I've re-created another card of which the 1st I sent over as a token to my friend and team head over at a cardmaking site I was previously with.  I believe she will hold it dear and close to her heart as well.

With the above, here's my re-created card with a bits of variation here and there.  I guess I got the tickle just thinking of coming up with a better version than the 1st card I've designed.  This card utilized both faux and stitching by hand.  I have yet to overcome the learning obstacle of using my mini sewing maching for some machine stitching action.

A Word of THANKS!!

I know that I can't thank you enough . . .

I would like to share the news that a few days ago,
I've finally reached the 100th follower mark
here on my personal crafting and hobby blog.

I was really esctatic and I was fast enough to contain my glee . . .
Well, not really! LOL
. . . for I went around all my FB groups to share the good news!!
{blabbing about it and was just too glad to have reached a mark to wit!!}

This is a milestone for me with this blog being almost 1 year old
{taking the time this specific blog of mine has been created}

And I'm grateful for the friends, confidant and the teams {current and past}
that I'm with right now in this well-loved hobby of ours.

I hope I could gather up my resources for a give-away to say my thanks,
but I know my resources are not enough to come up with such
a yummy give-away to celebrate the occasion.
I'm afraid that I might just disappoint you all.
Maybe in time . . . .

I just want to be able to share to everyone my craft
thru this blog I have, pouring into it all my efforts by
trying to sustain and maintain daily crafting blogposts
for everyone to see.
I hope I could be that of an enabler and be able to
fully espouse my written goals on my header which is
to aspire, create, design & inspire
in whatever hobby I indulge in.

To all my followers and friends,
. . . .  A HEARTFUL THANKS
FOR BEING AROUND. . . .!!!

"Love n Friendship" Card for Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #137: Babies or Children

Kaboodle Doodles' Challenge #137 is "Babies or Children". You could submit any project as long as it fits the challenge theme. Winner to be drawn randomly with sponsor prize of $10 voucher from Di's Digi Downloads Tues, September 25, 2012 at US timezone. Participants have until Sun., September 23, 2012 to link their entries at the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog.

I'm bad with creating baby cards.  Thus, for this week's challenge, I resorted to going through some of my unfinished handmade cards and found this wonderful semi-vintage handmade card in pink.  I wasn't that agreeable and had thought that it needed more than just how it appears and thus, I chucked it in my card compilation waiting for the right inspiration to bring it to it's needed finishing touches.

With the children vintage photo, I thought of how it was when we were young - me and my neighbors, friends and classmates.  And I thought of how things are now with them.  Some have gone far away and some after more than 20 years of no news or communication, they're coming back to say hi and hello.  Thus, I added a long sentiment to this said semi-finished pink vintage card.  All I had to say to my old and long lost friends . . . is . . . it's about LOVE & FRIENDSHIP.  With this I'm wishing all of my long lost friends well wherever they are.  I think I'd be glad to see them once again after all these years.

Here's my now completed "Children" greeting card,
greeting all of my childhood friends a great day:
SUPPLIES:  Cardstock: Star Paper Corp.;  Foam Alphabet Stickers: Filstar Distributors Corp.; Flower: Prima; Vintage Gem Brad: Filstar Distributors Corp.; Ric rac: Filstar Distributors Corp.; Other: pattern paper.
