"Brooches & Cross-stitches" Mini Album for Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #140: The Falling Leaves

Kaboodle Doodles' Challenge #140 is "Autumn Leaves Falling or Fall Colors". You could submit any project as long as it fits the challenge theme. Winner to be drawn randomly with sponsor prize of $5 voucher from Digital Delights Tues, October 16, 2012 at US timezone. Participants have until Sun., October 14, 2012 to link their entries at the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog.

Before discovering Scrapbooking, I've been dabbling with Cross-stitching.  I've been sooo into needlecraft (counted cross-stitch) that I began giving cross-stitch souvenirs as gifts to friends and relatives.  From decorating my room to the whole house with framed cross-stitches of mine.  I ventured into gift-giving and added a few gift items to sell for Christmases.  My cross-stitches as wedding souvenirs and other gift items as Christmas give-aways.

But now that Scrapbooking has now become my main hobby, cross-stitching has taken the back seat with my cross-stitch materials taken into hiding save for the few stitchings that I would add to my scrapbook layouts and cards.  Thus, for me to formally say goodbye and adieu to my needlecraft days, I've devoted a mini album for this needlecraft hobby now shelved in lieu of scrapbooking.

I hope you enjoyed perusing or viewing the contents of my mini album that will serve as a reminder for me of my needlecraft and gift giving days to family and friends with the said craft.

Yours truly,

  1. I hear ya! I used to be really into cross-stitching, too. But I've been doing less and less of it since I got more into papercrafting. For me, part of the reason for this is that I'm a slow stitcher but a fast scrapper.

Your album is a great idea, and I really like the round shape and dimensional embellies.

  2. Love your mini album! That's a great way to remember something!!

  3. Great mini album Kath! Lovin all the details!

  4. This is one of my favourite projects you have done Kath, just beautiful x
